Let me back up just a little. I had been calling Sarah before she had her baby, and talking with her. She told me she had several other families that she was working on writing up their home study too. She said that she could not officially say that we were approved, but for us to go ahead with making our profile books. So, that is what we did. The profile books are what the birth mothers look at to choose the family they want their baby to go and live with. We had to make 3 of them, one for the Little Rock office and two for the Fayetteville office. The books tell all about us, our marriage, favorite things we like, our home, and families. So, it took some time and lot of help. I called the Little Rock office and they said that another social worker would be here in Fayetteville on 9/9/09, and if we wanted to we could drop off the books to her, instead of having to mail it to Little Rock. So that was our deadline to finish the books. My Mom, Dad, and Brother all came up last Saturday to watch the first Razorback, and to help with the books. I was so happy to have them be a part of this. We finished all 3 books that night. I took them to Jana on Wednesday, and was so excited to turn them over to her. Now, we are waiting on the birth mother to come in and look at our book and choose us to be parents of her child.
We don't know how long this will take, but we know that it will happen on God's time. It is all in His hands now. That is where we are right now. We are just patiently waiting to hear that someone has chosen us to be parents! Please keep us in your prayers during this time! :o)
